It was 1.00 pm that day. I was upstairs and I heard my wife calling with a terrifying voice. I rushed downstairs, and met her pointing to the floor. It was a long cobra on the floor of our living room. As I stood at the door leading to the living room, it moved under the cabinet upon which the television stands. She suggested calling the security guards of our neighbors to help us. My spirit did not agree with that idea even though I have never killed a snake before. In my spirit I fathomed it was not an ordinary snake. So, I instantly asked God to take control of the situation and give us victory.

It took us about three hours to fight the battle. We were boiling water on four burners, both electric and gas; thinking that hot water would do the job. We water that the whole floor was filled with water, yet the snake was just sliding all over the place sometimes trying to hide under the curtains, sometimes pretending to be dead only to move as near it. At the end, God gave us victory. Praise the LORD.

Now the miracle about it; my wife was lying on the floor face-up, reading the Bible and the passage includes “And Jonathan said to the young man that bore his armor come let us go over into the garrison of these uncircumcised; it may be that the LORD will work for us, for there is no restraint on the LORD to save by many or by few” (1 Samuel 14:6)

In order to stay awake she had a chewing gum in her mouth. When she noticed that she was sleepy she turned on her right side to avoid swallowing the chewing gum; behold, she was face to face with a cobra, already coiled up, with its ugly raised to strike. She shouted “Jesus” and instantly an unusual energy came upon her, and she jumped to her feet with a terrific speed running to safety. Praise the LORD.

God raised a pillar of fire between her and the snake; for we do not know how it got to that point or for how long it was there. I later measured the space between her and the snake. It was a little less than 1.5 meters.

All doors and windows were shut. The Bible says- “He took not away the pillar of the cloud by day nor the pillar of fire by night from before the people (Exodus 13:22).

During my 6.00pm prayers that day, God spoke thus:- “son, just be singing praises unto me as long as you live. The enemy sent the snake deliberately to take away the life of your wife this day. But when, I the LORD I am in this place and you call on me day and night and night and day how can I ever allow such a situation when I have indeed promised you that I have given all of you in this house full life span.

Now as to the source and full details about it shall be later, not now. Let it suffice for now that it is the enemy who determined to do the havoc, but I am always around to protect those that have given their lives to me.

The following day, God said interalia “Cconcerning the mystery behind the snake's appearance in the living room yesterday afternoon; the enemy came to steal and to kill and devour. That was exactly the mission of the enemy yesterday to silence someone and bring my name to disrepute in this home, but I the LORD rejected it or what would be the comments of the people who hear about it, if it had gone the way of the plan of the enemy to steal and to kill. Praise the lord.
