THE ROOTS: Romans 4:17-22

Accessing has its roots in the word access. In the computer language for example, to access a file means to locate or retrieve information already stored into the system. Therefore what you are after is not a mirage, not guesswork, neither is it arbitrary. You know it. It exists and you can define it particularly and in articulate terms.

However your real entrance into your desired file is hinged solely on your knowledge of which keys to punch on the computer keyboard, as well as what the code name of your file is. This means despite desire, you must have those two basic facts at your fingertips. If you lack that knowledge access will surely be denied you regardless of your desire. The Kingdom of god also has its own gates too and with specific locks on each one as well. You have to have been given the keys first before you can hope to walk though any of these gates. You have

This is where the concept of apostolic discipleship of the whole earth comes from. It has to do with having a universal, catholic mentality, which breaks all boundaries of tradition and culture and customs. The first and most shocking boundary (to the Pharisee) that Paul broke was to preach Jesus as the saviour of the whole world-Jew and Gentiles. This was more like a position of affront and offence to this religions sect whose traditional position had always been that Jesus was an impostor and a fraud as well as a “rival” to the popularity of the Pharisaic teachers.

Paul had a life changing, and transforming encounter, which radically upturned his former traditional and quite ignorant stance concerning Jesus Christ and His message and ministry. From thence, it was impossible for him to continue to be compliant bedfellows with traditional Jewish position about Christ and Christianity. For this reason, the Jews were never at peace with this apostle until his dying day.

These are the kind of reasons for which apostolic ministry and apostles tend to be controversial and many times seeming to be going contrary to mainstream religion and its comfortable traditional position.

As a true apostolic key, Apostle Paul unlocked the door of mercy and brought the Gentile nations into God's Kingdom just as God had given the promise to Abraham.

Ordinarily access can mean door, entrance or gateway. It is a point of sure arrival or landing at your heart's desire. In the case of our elders in the faith, for instance, Hebrews says the access they sought was one that opened directly into a country who's Architect and Builder was God. This means their ultimate pursuit was God Himself.

You wonder why the elders were tent makers and not empire builders? This was why. They were migrant spiritual pilgrim of a dream that a Superior Power had placed in their heart. Thus they could not rest at any point to say they had “arrived” They had to keep going on, exploring new vistas of possibilities. For them the destination was God Himself.

This drive after God turned these elders into strangers and pilgrims on the earth. They were men desperate after God's knowledge and person.

They knew that the buildings we build with brick and concrete can't hold Him. They discovered that God is not circuitous in movement either. His style is forward ever, backward never. When He's moving the speed is just one: Fast and His gear is only one too: forward. Therefore these men didn't have time for many frivolities at all.

If you're coming with God, you became their friend; if you had your own plans they put you aside and passed you by. Thus we saw an important apostolic figure like Ruth of Moab quickly putting her acts together the moment Naomi said, I'm ready to move,” and would not even discuss her decision with fellow young widow, Orpah, who eventually choose to retrace her steps from following the cloud of the unseen. That Ruth took that risk of continuous followership made all the difference in what God did with her life finally. Genuine, serious authentic apostolic ministry involves a lot of risk taking in pursuing the unseen (God)

Our elders knew that when God had left a place you waste your time or going back to that place looking for Him. Therefore you couldn't hold these men down at any Point. They constantly journeying, migrating, progressing in any direction God would indicate. They ran on earth “as seeing Him who is invisible” (Heb. 11:27 ).

And that ability to move ahead purposefully and not just about, in pursuit of God was the key to their unusual breakthrough with God. They were a constantly journeying people, reason for which today we call them “pilgrims” They had no permanent camp this was why they became mortals who had power with the almighty God.

SPIRITUAL WARFARING: (Eph. 6: 10 – 18)
The gate into power (with God) may be closed or open, depending all the time upon the heart condition of the seeking, longing man.

Hannah seemed to be mumbling or simply displaying drunkenness when Eli noticed her motions at Shiloh that day. He saw her lips moving yet heard no audible sound. Eli tried to show the supposedly drunken woman away, but Hannah said to the man of God, “preacher, I'm not off my senses, neither am I drunk but I'm a heartbroken woman expressing the sorrow of my heart to my God who dwells in this Shiloh .”

Hannah was writing the ticket to her own life with God and silently ordering a very lethal weapon from God's arsenal in the description of a man–child who would be both priest and prophet all at once.

Not that this broken housewife knew that such a thing existed with God, but desperation made her to open her whole heart of God and His Spirit sovereignly directed her mouth what to say in prayer. (1 Sam. 1:17)

Agate is that final point out of a place or a place of confinement. So when the spiritual pilgrim gets to this stage, crises and trauma multiply themselves like floods on his pathway. Why? Lucifer is not stupid. He realizes that you've traveled too far now to go back and really, you just might catch up with God after all.

And that is what he doesn't want to happen. Yes, make all your motions in church, and dance here and there, and speak in the tongue of men and of angels if you like, but to cultivate an eager spirit after God? No way! Satan will fight you like hell. That's too dangerous for the Kingdom of darkness; therefore any move they can make to frustrate you would just be in order.

As a result Lucifer stations his intimidating host at your gates in order to cut you short. His own host is not going anywhere anyway, so he will instruct them to keep staying just to frighten you and do anything else they can to discourage you from making any move.

If you don't know what to do next at this point this may be real tragedy (see Heb. 4: 1-16).

This is the point that should break the cloud and tear off the shroud of obscurity over your life, if you navigate this water of transition correctly. Here you need a lot of courage and determination. This is the point where your confidence in the living and faithful God must not falter.

These are facts Lucifer will not be keen on you remembering at this crises season. He prefer for you to wonder whether God really does exist and if He does, whether He has time for a small, nonentity fry like you. Perhaps He's not even interested in whatever you seem to be going through, after all how many are His more important, more prominent sons all over the earth.

Where's the time to be mindful of small little people like you? You know what? Jesus says, “the devil is a liar and the father of it”! You better believe that gospel here more than any other revelation for now, because this is what will see you through successfully. It is very possible to experience disaster and survive without the small of the smoke on you. It's a master of what you know.

Lucifer is not stupid. He's very well aware that something totally new may be bursting

Out on the earth through your life and he can't do anything about it. So in desperate panic he tries to help prolong your own wilderness journey by causing you to see the crises and not the purpose. You will begin to make motions round the same juncture without moving purposefully ahead as the years go by. Especially if ignorance of “the battle of the gates” prevails with you and you have no idea which of the keys of the Kingdom to use here. The key is attack!

You ever saw a hungry man who saw food and was starring at it? Not likely. He would instantly “attack” it and usage his own suffering. Some people who have been used to plenty all their lives are not aware that hunger gets to a point at which it becomes a pain. That is when the hungry man will eat anything you place before him so long as it' not poison. Dr John G. Lake calls it “the ultimate note” of the human nature.

If fear comes around, attack it now if you mean to move with God, otherwise you may unwittingly co-operate with his back breaking satanic strategy of bowing before the demagogues of fear and ruining all your chances from the beginning of the race of faith.

Thus the need for you here is to make a move in the right direction. Your star is about to fort shining. You're being pushed into your destiny by forces of adversity. UYou better move. To be continued!

The real truth is that your delivery is so close upon you and this is why your travails are multiplying and your sorrows have increased. Friends will attack you. Family will misunderstand you.

Former colleague and associates will threaten to or actually will ostracize you. Many of them will betray you. When Jesus was about to move from healer to saviour, a close associate had to betray Him to His enemies.

You must know therefore that the Spirit's timing. The height of crises is the moving ahead time. If you miss it here then the whole thing would probably become an anti
